AI Browser Agent is a Chrome extension developed by Jamal Balya. It allows users to interact with websites through an AI-powered browser agent using an AI provider selected and configured by the user.

AI Browser Agent may process:

• Instructions and commands provided by the user.
• Content from web pages that the user asks the agent to inspect or interact with.
• Information required to perform browser actions requested by the user.
• Extension settings, workflows, tasks, and other data created by the user.
• Authentication information when the user chooses to use account-based features.
• Information required by external services that the user explicitly connects.

AI Browser Agent follows a local-first design. Extension settings, provider configuration, workflows, tasks, and other supported application data are stored in the user's browser environment.

AI provider credentials and API keys configured by the user are intended to remain locally stored and are not provided to the developer's own backend.

Chrome's extension storage APIs are designed for extension-specific persistent data.

The user chooses which AI provider to use with AI Browser Agent.

When the agent needs an AI response, relevant information may be sent to the AI provider selected by the user. This can include the user's instructions and relevant webpage information required to perform the requested task.

The handling of that information is also subject to the privacy policy and terms of the selected AI provider.

AI Browser Agent does not require a Claude subscription and is designed around an interchangeable AI-provider architecture.

The currently published version of AI Browser Agent does not require an account or sign-in. Core browser-agent functionality can be used without an AI Browser Agent account. If account-based features are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the information processed by those features.

AI Browser Agent can act as an MCP client when the user explicitly configures an MCP server.

Information sent to an MCP server depends on the tools and resources selected or configured by the user.

AI Browser Agent is an MCP client; it does not operate an MCP server on behalf of users.

Information is used to:

• Execute browser tasks requested by the user.
• Generate AI responses through the selected AI provider.
• Store and manage user-created workflows, tasks, settings, and related application data.
• Provide authentication, synchronization, or external integrations when explicitly enabled by the user.
• Maintain security controls and audit information required by the extension.

AI Browser Agent does not sell users' personal information.

Information may be transmitted to services that the user explicitly configures or uses, including the selected AI provider, authentication services, synchronization services, and MCP servers.

AI Browser Agent does not operate an advertising network and does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services.

Data stored locally by the extension remains in the user's browser environment until it is removed by the user or by applicable browser storage operations.

Data transmitted to third-party services is subject to the retention and deletion policies of those services.

Users should also review the privacy policies of any AI provider or external service they connect to AI Browser Agent.

AI Browser Agent is designed with a local-first security model and applies controls intended to prevent unauthorized data transmission.

Users should never provide credentials or sensitive information to websites or external services unless they trust and intend to use those services.

Chrome permissions can provide extensions with capabilities such as access to tabs, scripting, debugging, and other browser functionality, so extension permissions should be evaluated in the context of the functionality the extension provides.

AI Browser Agent is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated backend.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the functionality, services, or data practices of AI Browser Agent change.

The updated version will be published at this location with a revised effective date.
